Hey Guys, 3 years ago I visited a cooling tower in a thermal power plant.
Here in this video, I will explain
What is the purpose of this tower?
Thermal power plants generate a large amount of heat
during the process of electricity generation,
which must be dissipated to avoid damage to the equipment and maintain efficiency.
The cooling tower provides a large surface area
for the cooling water to come into contact with the surrounding air,
which helps to transfer heat to the atmosphere through evaporation.
The cooling tower works by allowing the warm water
from the power plant’s condenser to flow into the tower,
where it is distributed over a series of fill materials,
creating a large surface area for contact with the surrounding air.
As the water flows over the fill, some of it evaporates,
absorbing heat from the remaining water and reducing its temperature.
The cooled water is then returned to the condenser to continue the cycle of heat dissipation.
Well, it helps to maintain the temperature and efficiency of the plant.
Thanks for watching.
