Hey guys, let me discuss the journey of electricity from generating station to the Consumer.
In total there are 8 stages.
The first stage is a power plant, 11 KV voltage is produced.
The second stage is a step-up station, where the voltage is stepped up to 110 KV or 220 KV.
The third stage is transmission lines, which transmit electricity to the substations.
The fourth stage is the sub-station, which steps down the voltage to 11 KV.
The fifth stage is HT lines, which transmit energy from the substation to the distribution station.
The sixth stage is the distribution station, which steps down the voltage from 11 KV to 440 volts AC.
The seventh stage is LT lines, which transmit electricity to every street and area.
The eighth stage is service mains, which transmit electricity from LT lines to the meter board.
