  1. Permanent magnet synchronous motors are known as permanent magnet ac motors.
  2. There are two types of motors. Sinusoidally excited and trapezoidal excited.
  3. Sinusoidally excited PMAC motor will have sinusoidal induced emf waveforms and trapezoidal excited PMAC motor will have trapezoidal induced emf waveforms.
