Top 10 Electrical Interview Questions

The electrical questions and answers I am discussing in this article are mostly asked during the interview. If you are from a diploma or engineering background in the electrical domain then you must know these questions. Let’s discuss it one by one.

10. Why we can’t store ac supply in battery?

A. Because ac supply is alternating means it will be changing from positive to negative and vice-versa, and to store dc supply the polarity must be constant like dc. You can charge the battery with ac supply by using rectifiers or by charging the polarity of ac supply 50 times per second because the frequency is 50 Hz and the charging of positive and negative cycle happens 50 times per second.

09. Which is more dangerous AC or DC?

A. DC is more dangerous then AC.

08. Why transformer operates only on ac supply?

A. AC supply will produce a charging or varying flux to the transformer while the dc supply will produce static flux which will damage the transformer.

07. Which powder is used in a fluorescent tube?

A. You can answer is question – Click Here

06. Difference between conductor and insulator?

A. Conductor allows electric current to pass through it whereas the insulator does not allows electric current to pass through it.

05. Is mineral water is a conductor or insulator?

A. Mineral water acts like a insulator it will not allow any current to pass through it.

04. Difference between 3-phase and a single-phase supply?

A. The voltage is three phase supply will be 440 volts and the voltage in single-phase supply will be 230 volts.

03. What is a polarized capacitor?

A. In this capacitor, polarity matter, if you connect capacitor polarity wrong then the capacitor gets damage.

02. What is MMF, reluctance?

A. You can answer is question – Click Here

01. Why filter is used in circuits?

A. To remove unwanted signals in the system.

I hope this article may help you all a lot. Thank you for reading.
