Cloud Computing

Guys, nowadays cloud computing has become very important for all sectors such as in business cloud computing will play a very important role. The business data can be stored and can be easily accessed via the internet. The best example is google drive, where we can store our data and we can also access those data from anywhere in the world through the internet.

The various companies that are providing service are AWS (amazon web service), GCP (google cloud platform), Microsoft Azure, etc. In these companies, you can store your data through the internet. Nowadays, the world is digital, and daily lots of data is getting generated to store those data a huge amount of storage place is required, so the demand for the server is increasing day by day.

If each and every company tries to step up their own servers then it will cost them a huge amount, so to reduce cost companies are using servers of companies like AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.

What is Cloud Computing?

a. Cloud Computing is a shared pool of configurable computing services (e.g. networks, service, storage, applications, and services) networks on-demand over the internet.

b. CC is the use of remote servers (usually accessible via the internet) to store information or data.

c. Using internet information can be easily accessed. Saved files or large amounts of data on a server can be accessed through the internet.

Why the name cloud computing?

The word “cloud” came from a network design that was used by network engineers to represent the location of various network devices and their interconnection. The shape of this network design was looking like a cloud.

Now let’s discuss some history.

History

01. During the 1950s, the computers were huge and computers were occupying the whole room.

02. The cost of buying and also maintaining mainframes, the organization couldn’t afford to buy one for each user.

03. The solution was “time-sharing” in which more users can access data and CPU time. The word “time-sharing” is the principle.

04. In 1970 – IBM introduced VM’s (virtual machines) run on a single physical machine.

Now we will discuss some advantages and limitations.

Advantages of Cloud Computing

  1. Cost Reduction
  2. Storage Increase
  3. Resource Pooling
  4. Highly Automated
  5. Greater Mobility
  6. Change the IT Focus
  7. Towards Green IT
  8. Keep Updated Things
  9. Quick Elasticity
  10. Measurement Service

Limitations of Cloud Computing

  1. Security
  2. Location and Data Privacy
  3. Internet Addiction
  4. Levels of Availability and Service
