Cadence interview Questions

Hello guys, welcome back to my blog. In this article, I will discuss cadence technical interview questions for EE and EC students, cadence interview questions, online technical questions asked in cadence, etc.

If you have any doubts related to electrical, electronics, and computer science, then ask questions. You can also catch me on Instagram – Chetan Shidling.

Cadence Technical Interview Questions

01. In the cascade amplifier shown in the figure, if the common-emitter stage (Q1) has a transconductance gm1 and the common base stage (Q2) has a transconductance gm2 then the overall transconductance g(=i0 / Vi) of the cascade amplifier is

cascade amplifier

Options:

a. gm1

b. gm2

c. gm1 / 2

d. gm2 / 2

The answer is: a. gm1

Solution:

Q1 has transconductance???

Q2 has transconductance???

Overall transconductance? = i0 / Vi

i= iE2 = ic1 so g = gm1

02. In the figure, A2 reads 3 amps, A3 reads 4 amps, A4 reads 8 amps. Find A1 reading.

A2 reads 3 amps, A3 reads 4 amps, A4 reads 8 amps. Find A1 reading

Options:

a. 10 amps

b. 15 amps

c. 8 amps

d. 16 amps

The answer is b. 15 amps

As the ammeter is reading values and all loads are connected in parallel means we have to add currents.

03. Evaluate for Y at the end of the ex-nor gate and NOT gate at the 20th time when stating one and one are inputs? The figure is shown below

ex-nor gate and NOT gate at the 20th time

Options:

a. One

b. Zero

c. Both

d. None

The answer is a. One

Solve by yourself by seeing a table of the ex-nor gate.

04. A dc power supply has a no-load voltage of 30 volts, full load voltage of 25 volts at a full load current of 1 amp. Find output resistance and load regulation?

Options:

a. 20 ohm & 30%

b. 10 ohm & 25%

c. 5 ohm & 15%

d. 25 ohm & 20%

The answer is d. 25 ohm & 20%

Solution:

R = V/I = 25/1 = 25 Ohms

Load regulation:

Rth = (Vnl – Vfl)/Ifl
= (30 – 25)/1
Rth = 5 ohms

Load regulation = ((Rth) / (Rl)) * 100
= (5/25) * 100
= 20%

Still, we will update some questions with solutions.

I hope this article “Cadence Technical Interview Questions” may help you all a lot. Thank you for reading.
