17. NEPLAN

- c. The EasyPower suite of products contains EasyPower ShortCircuit, EasyPower PowerProtector, EasyPower PowerFlow (for protective device coordination and device database), EasyPower ArcFlash, EasyPower Spectrum (for harmonic and PQ problems), and EasyPower Measure.
15. SPICE
- a. SPICE is a powerful general-purpose analog circuit simulator that is used to verify circuit designs and predict circuit behavior.
- b. PSpice is a PC version of SPICE developed by MicroSim Corp (OrCAD). HSpice is a version, built by Avant! (Synopsys Corp.) that runs on workstations and larger computer systems.
- c. SPICE can perform many various kinds of electronics circuit-level analysis, such as DC-AC, transient, noise, sensitivity, distortion, Fourier, and Monte Carlo. SPICE has a digital as well as an analog library of all standard components.
14. ATP-EMTP
- a. ATP-EMTP is used worldwide for switching and lightning surge analysis, insulation coordination, shaft torsional oscillation studies, protective relay modeling, harmonic and power quality studies, and HVDC and FACTS modeling.
- b. ATP is not in the public domain, and licensing is required before ATP materials are received.
- c. ATP has been continuously developed through the international contributions of Drs. W. Meyer and Tsu-huei Lui. ATP development includes honesty in all dealings and nonparticipation in EMTP commerce, which is in the public domain.

12. RTDS Simulator
- a. RTDS Technologies INC. offers power systems simulation technology for real-time digital simulation study of power systems with complex high voltage direct current (HVDC), and high voltage alternating current (HVAC).
- b. The RTDS Simulator has two main software elements GUI (RSCAD) and a library of modules and compilers.
- c. The RTDS simulator with graphical user interface (GUI) RSCAD, the software can be used for setting up simulations, controlling, and modifying power system parameters during a simulation, acquiring data, and analyzing results.
11. PSAF
- a. CYME International’s PSAF is an integrated power system analysis software, equipped with simulation modules for conducting a lot or a wide array of system studies for industries and utilities.

- a. PSS/E of Shaw Power Technology, Inc., is an integrated program for simulating, analyzing, and optimizing power system performance.

05. PSAT
- a. Power system analysis software tool. For basic power flow, short-circuit analysis to harmonic, and transients analysis is currently available and in increasing demand.
