04. In the group discussion round they will make a group of 10 members.

05. Then they will give some random/trending topic to discuss, and the overall time will be 20 mins.

06. After 20 mins they will tell us to stop the discussion.

Some of the sample topics for group discussion are listed below.

01. Whether coaching centers are destroying the education system?

02. Is working from home useful or harmful?

03. Is a uniform mandatory for school students?

04. How to prevent corona?

05. Talk about the Tokyo Olympics 2021. (Trending topic for us).

06. Which is better?? Teamwork or individual work?

07. Impact of Covid-19 on the Indian economy?

08. Should junk food be banned??

09. Can money make us happy?

10. Ban on Firecrackers during Diwali – Good step?

11. Status of women in india.

12. Degree or experience???

13. English must remain the official language of India. Agree or disagree.

14. Is digital payments secure??

15. Women empowerment is only the solution to violence against Indian women. Yes or no.

16. Confident vs overconfident.

17. Hard Work or Smart work??

18. Soft skills matter more than technical skills. Do you agree or disagree?

19. Love marriage vs. arranged marriage. What would you prefer?

20. Whatsapp, Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat are killing creativity. Yes or no?

How to crack Group discussion round???

01. Take 1 to two mins  to gather maximum knowledge regarding the given topic, and have good communication skills:

02. Try to take the lead part i.e try to talk first if you are confident enough about the given topic.

03. Be confident. This is more important in the GD round. You speak rightly or wrongly that’s secondary but be confident with your words. Don’t hesitate to anyone.

04. Be only one side, which means be either against the topic or with the topic. Don’t be in the middle or don’t say both. For example, work from home pros and cons. Speak about either pros or cons but not both.

05. Don’t sit quietly after speaking once, instead speak twice or thrice. Be active till the completion of group discussion.  But at the same time don’t grab someone’s opportunity. Give opportunity to all first, then if everyone is silent you start to speak.

06. Conclude your statements/views regarding the given topic.

07. Be a good listener. In the GD round listen to other people’s words too. If you agree with that person, then say “I agree with XYZ, in addition to that I would like to add….”. If you don’t agree with that person say “Maybe you are right, but according to me….”.

08. Be polite. That means don’t argue with anyone, be calm, be patient, and be cool.

09. Again this is the elimination round. They shortlist some people who performed well in group discussion and they send mail for those candidates for the technical round.

Note–

They ask questions only from your resume. So include only those sections on which you have confidence and you can answer well. Even if it is less content it’s fine, but have the complete knowledge on the mentioned topic in your resume. If you are not confident enough to answer, just remove that section from your resume.

Mphasis Technical Interview Questions

Again the TR round questions depend upon your branch.

01. I list out the questions which I got during my interview. As I mentioned C programming in my resume he asked questions only on C, not anything else.

02. Tell me something about yourself???

03. Explain about your project.

04. What was your role in your project? (I said, leader)

05. What were the other members doing??

06. Which language do you prefer? And how much you rate yourself in that language out of 10. (I said C)

07. What are pointers? Why are pointers needed??

08. List out the differences between static and dynamic memory allocation?

09. What is the difference between malloc(), and calloc()?

10. What is the difference between structure and union?

11. What is the recursion function in C?

12. What are the modes of file handling?

13. Write a program to count the digits in a given number.

14. Write a program to print prime numbers in an array.

15. Do you have any questions for me??

So this was all about the TR round. Again in this round, they have eliminated some students. The last round will be the HR round.

HR round questions

01. Tell me about yourself.

02. Tell me something about yourself which is not there in your resume??
