Top 20 Projects On ARM

ARM microcontrollers and processors are now used in the majority of ARM-based embedded system projects. An embedded system is a system that includes dedicated software that is integrated into hardware for a specific purpose or product. Embedded systems, as a platform for a wide range of applications, enable the creation of a wide range of electronic and electrical projects.

Many processor and controller families are currently utilized in embedded systems, including the 8051, PIC, AVR, ARM, Motorola, etc. Furthermore, different ARM processors are used in ARM embedded systems, with each version varying in functionality. As a result, the purpose of this article is to provide the top 20 advanced ARM-based projects with a quick explanation.

20. Wireless Biomedical Parameter Monitoring System Using ARM9

Using an ARM microcontroller and biosensors, this project implements a patient monitoring system to measure the physical parameters of ICU patients such as heartbeat, body temperature, oxygen level, and blood pressure. The patient’s health may be continuously monitored in this project, and the data received from the patient can be transferred to the microcontroller using Zigbee WSNs.

The patient data is analyzed by the ARM processor and stored in the database. If a patient in the ICU feels unwell, an alert can be triggered, and an SMS can be sent automatically to the doctor via the GSM module.

19. Postpaid and Prepaid Energy Meter Using ARM

To combat electricity theft, this project uses an ARM microprocessor to construct a prepaid energy meter. The GSM network is used to integrate the prepaid metering system and load control from a distance. This meter can be installed in each consumer unit utilizing an ARM7 microcontroller to measure the amount of energy used and a server unit provided by the service provider.

These devices have a GSM modem and an LCD, with the GSM serving as a display for the amount of energy consumed. When the meter’s balance drops to zero, the power is automatically turned off, and the user is notified through SMS to recharge the energy meter. Thus, electricity theft and illicit use of electricity are combated by the suggested method.

18. Temperature and Humidity Control System Using ARM and Graphical LCD

Using ARM and LCD, this project provides a control system for sensing and controlling various environmental conditions. Humidity, temperature, fire, gas, and fire are the parameters, and they are analyzed and recorded in a data logger. This information can be viewed on an LCD monitor.

17. Voice-Based GPS Navigation System Using ARM

GPS is used in this project to locate the exact location of data collected via sensors. In addition, this suggested system uses GPS to create a voice alert system for blind individuals, which provides their current location and alerts them when they arrive at their destination.

16. ARM and RFID Based Security System (Home, Office, Industrial)

To combat automotive theft, this project uses RFID and ARM to construct a security system. Two sensors, GPS, RFID, and GSM, can be used in this project. When a person opens the vehicle door, RFID is requested. In addition, an accelerometer sensor is utilized in this project to track the shattering of the window and the movement of the car.

If the person fails to input the right password, an SMS is sent to the concerned person’s phone, along with the vehicle’s exact location as determined by GPS, allowing the fuel injector in the vehicle to be deactivated.

15. ARM-based Ear Recognition Embedded System

This project uses PCA (Principal Component Analysis) and an ARM microcontroller to create an ear recognition system. PCA is the simplest technique to recognize the pattern in this case; nevertheless, it is rarely employed in many applications. However, it is possible to program and use this ear recognition system as an embedded system.

14. Advanced Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) using ARM

A simple electron machine can be used to conduct elections in India. However, there is a possibility of voting instead of an authorized person; any unauthorized person can vote. To overcome this, an EVM is used to validate the voter, utilizing RFID and ARM7 to verify the voter’s fingerprint. In addition, RFID is used to send and receive basic information. As a result, the proposed approach adds to the level of safety.

13. ARM7 based Drunken People Identification by Disabling Auto Ignition Function using ARM7

This ARM7-based initiative aims to reduce the number of accidents caused by drunk driving. The proposed method monitors alcohol consumption drivers to overcome this. When the data from the sensor is received, this project can be implemented with an ARM 7 processor to disable the ignition system in the vehicle automatically.

12. DC Motor Speed Control & Direction through ARM7

This project uses the ARM7 processor and the PWM method to control the direction and speed. This processor’s signal width is changed to maintain the required speed level of the motor.

11. ARM-based Web Server Design & Development

This project uses a real-time and ARM 9 processor to construct an embedded web server that provides different services to customers.

10. Mobile Robot using PID Controller for Drive System of DC Motor

In the realm of agriculture, the proposed system implements a specific motor drive system for mobile robots to cut production and personnel. The PID controller for the drive system is developed using an ARM 9 controller in this project.

09. ARM-based Smart Shopping System

Using an ARM microprocessor, this project implements a smart shopping system. Due to the high volume of traffic in malls, shopping in metro cities is currently a time-consuming operation, and the billing process requires us to wait in line. To address this, the suggested method makes use of an RFID-based trolley.

08. Wireless Electric Board using ARM

This project replaces the blackboard with a chalk piece with an electronic board with a pen. The handwriting can be converted into an electrical signal and transmitted to a PC for projection on a large screen using this hardware. For handheld apparatus, this idea can be accomplished utilizing an ARM 9 board and an RTOS.

07. Wireless Network & ARM9 based Safety System for Mines

This project is utilized to offer protection for underground employees by continuously monitoring environmental conditions such as humidity, gas, temperature, and other factors. A Zigbee sensor and an ARM 9 CPU can be used to create this project.

06. EVM based on Biometric System

This project creates a fingerprint-based EVM machine that collects, stores, and processes voting data using an ARM9 microcontroller. This project is easy to design, affordable, and adaptable.

05. Monitoring and Controlling System for Power Factor using ARM Cortex

With a microcontroller such as the ARM Cortex, a relay driver, and a zero-crossing detecting circuit, this project is utilized to construct an autonomous PF monitoring and a controlling system.

04. AES Algorithm based Encryption

This project uses ARM7 to design an encryption method for military data protection. The major goal of this AEC algorithm-based encryption project is to keep storage devices secure.

03. Surveillance System for Smart Security with Labview & ARM Cortex M0

Using the ARM Cortex M0 Processor and a Labview interface, a smart security surveillance system monitors and records human detection, overcoming the inadequacies of current IP (Internet Protocol) cameras.

02. Detection System of Collision using ARM Cortex M3

Through the ADXL sensor and modules such as GPS and GSM, which are interfaced correctly through the ARM CPU, this project builds a collision system to detect the accident and release airbags when the accident occurs.

01. Implementation of Intelligent Substation through Web & Monitoring and Controlling of Power Equipment

This ARM-based project uses the web to construct a control system for monitoring a substation’s current, temperature, and voltage. When these parameter values are higher than the threshold, this system also provides safety. This system’s protection can be supplied by turning off the entire machine.
