I will share Cognizant technical & HR interview questions asked for different students.

Cognizant technical questions asked for automation and robotics student 01:

1. Introduce Yourself.
2. Questions related to your course subjects.
3. Questions related to the latest technologies you know.
4. SQL basic questions.
5. Explain about your project.
6. What was your contribution to the project?
7. Asked to solve puzzles and aptitude Qs
8. What do you know about the IT sector?
9. Where do you want to see yourself in the next 10 years?
10. What are your strengths and weaknesses?
11. Why should we hire you?

Cognizant technical questions asked for civil student 02:

1. Tell me about yourself.
2. What are the subjects that are difficult for you? (don’t say programming though).
3. Why do you want to join an IT company being a non-IT student?
4. What are your favorite subjects?
5. Tell me about the projects you have done.
6. How did you overcome the problems and difficulties during the projects? Explain with example.
7. What did you learn from the projects? (non-technical things like teamwork etc..)
8. Can you relocate if required? Can you work on weekends?
9. Any questions? (Please ask any question, if the interviewer asks this).
10. Write a code fragment for reversing the array elements. (Any programming language is fine.)
11. What is Newton’s First Law?
12. What is the law of superposition?
13. What is meant by equilibrium?
14. What is the slump test? And what are the different types of slumps?
15. What is a perfect frame? (Asked in the sense of structural frame).
16. What is surveying? Explain in detail. nA standard aptitude question on finding the age of a person, like, Age of x is n years less than that of y. After k years, the age of y will be z times that of x. Find the present age of x.
17. What are some new innovations in civil engineering?

Cognizant technical questions asked for electronics and communication student 03:

1. Introduce yourself.
2. Questions related to Exploration, mini & minor projects. (Role in the project!!!).
3. C (pointers, Storage classes, rev string program, variables).
4. C++(features of C++ with real-time examples).
5. Any Challenges faced and how did you overcome them.
6. Strengths & Weaknesses.
7. ECE Basic core questions(diode, resistor, CDMA, oscillator, accumulator,8051.. Refer top 100 ece questions in google).
8. Tell me something about cognizant (refer there website).
9. Some basic Aptitude questions (TSD, Time & Work, Ratios, Avg, Ages).

Cognizant technical questions asked for computer science student 04:

1. Explanation about the projects which are on your resume.
2. What is python and Machine learning.
3. Difference between linked list and Array.
4. Displayed 2 aptitude questions and was asked to solve. One was from profit and loss and the other from probability.
5. Questions on the essay topic.
6. Questions on DBMS -What is the clustering index.
7. Explain data structure.
8. Asked about family background.
9. Weakness and Strengths.
10. Areas of interest.
11. Toughest Decision in life.
12. Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years.
13. Any problem with reallocation.

Cognizant technical questions asked for electrical and electronics student 05:

1. Projects that you have mentioned in your resume.
2. Explaining your contribution to the project is very important.
3. There will be a thorough questioning on your final year mentioned project, so you need to make sure that you know every bit of your mentioned project.
4. There will be questions related to your favorable Coding languages like C, C++, etc.
5. Other than this there will be questions related to your internship(not compulsory).
6. The technical round will be around 20-25 mins.
7. For EE students: Are you comfortable working in an IT company being a EE student?

Cognizant technical questions asked for mechanical student 06:

1. Asked about Mechanically related topics like Hooke’s law, stress-strain curve, thermal stress, Gibbs free energy, different kinds of flow, newton’s laws, etc.
2. Asked about C programming topics like pointers, strings, arrays, data types.
3. Interviewers gave 1-3 aptitude questions to solve. (compulsory for everyone).
4. Ask about modern trends in technology.
5. Be prepared with the projects and internships did so far.
