What Is Data Science?

Data scientists are experts they know how to use a large amount of data in a proper manner.

Let’s take an example of Facebook, imagine friends are taking a selfie in the Facebook app(assume), Did you come across this on Facebook? where you are suggested to tag your friends, the technology behind this is face recognition which is done by using something data science technics.

Let’s take another example of food apps like Zomato, Swiggy, etc these apps use recommendation technics to suggest customers with the best dishes to increase the sales, they are also calculating the time frame for deliveries, and these are done by using data science technics in the same way e-commerce also use data science technics for increasing the sales and for estimating the delivery now let’s check out the hierarchy of data science.

In the initial stage, we collect data from external sources like databases, log files, websites, etc after collection we store the data into the required sources, this job is done by DVD people.

In the next step we do data gaining process or data pre-processing where we manipulate as per our requirement and the next step is labeling the data, training the data and we will be doing some analysis as per the client requirement, these jobs can be done by a python developer or an R developer.

In the next step, we will do simple machine learning algorithms in order to build any model so we use different algorithms in machine learning and we try to fit a particular algorithm to a particular data set and this job is done by a data scientist, the entire thing from the initial step till the machine learning building algorithm is done by a data scientist and the final step is artificial intelligence and deep learning.

What Are The Skills Required To Become A-Data Scientist

First, you need to learn mathematics which involves statistics and some basic mathematical computations and then no need to be a computer science guy only, you can also be from other streams like electronics and communication or electrical and electronics engineering branch it does not matter and we need to be aware of the domain so what is this term domain, so after the completion of the course of data science you need to know where you need to settle down.

The domain expertise needs to be there like which domain you need to work in like food chain, website, application domain, after the data pre-processing steps, being a data scientist you need to know how to clean the data in a perfect way and for a data scientist you need to have statistical research with all these things combine you will become a perfect data scientist. The average salary of data science experts is 4 to 18 lakhs rupees per month.
